Broadway Dance Center is proud to continue hosting its acclaimed Broadway Choreography Series. This ongoing master class series offers the opportunity to learn the original choreography to some of Broadway’s finest shows, presented by actual cast members and/or creative team straight from the stage to the studio.
Past classes have featured choreography from award-winning musicals like Holiday Inn, Bandstand, Anastasia, On Your Feet, Miss Saigon, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and more!
The Broadway Choreography Series gives dancers a taste of the repertoire currently on Broadway — direct from the pros who perform it every night. Getting acquainted with the style and movement of a show can not only give you special insight into the creation of the work, but also give dancers a leg up when it comes to auditioning, too.
The next class in BDC’s Broadway Choreography Series will take place on Tuesday, May 15. Students will learn choreography from the Jimmy Buffet musical, Escape to Margaritaville, taught by the show’s dance captain (and frequent theater teacher at BDC), Marjorie Failoni.
“Dancers can expect to have a lot of fun in class,” says Failoni. “Kelly Devine’s choreography is the perfect combination of athleticism and sass!”
